Tanith Gould works primarily as a mural artist, based in the South West of England. She creates bold and colourful large scale paintings for a variety of clients. Her work is deeply inspired by nature, community, storytelling, and folklore. Although specialising in muralism, Tanith welcomes opportunities to collaborate across a range of creative disciplines such as illustration, installation and animation.

Avona

Spirit of the River

A collaboration between Tanith Gould and Zoe Power, created for the Bath River Line. Working with Mulberry Park Primary School and the local community, we developed a contemporary folk story centred on the spirit of the River Avon and the plants and wildlife that call her waters home. The mural brings this story to life, celebrating Avona, her flora and fauna.

Pizza Pilgrims

Bristol

Exterior mural painted for Pizza Pilgrims’ brand new restaurant on Corn Street, Bristol. The design references the city of Naples, an important part of the company’s origin story. The centre point being the Piaggio Ape that the founders famously travelled around Italy in whilst selling pizzas.

In Balance

Tobacco Factory Exhibition, Bristol

This exhibition reflects Tanith’s ongoing search for balance and harmony in both life and creative practice. Drawn from the experience of navigating a constantly active mind, the works explore the tension between energy and stillness.

The two more intricate paintings are inspired by the things that bring energy and inspiration - music, dance, and the natural world. In contrast, the three geometric works offer a sense of space, clarity, and order, embodying qualities that can often feel elusive.

By bringing these contrasting elements together, and through the slow, meditative process of painting, the exhibition explores the forms that balance can take and where it can be found.
